ABOUT THE AREA

About the Weston Area

Weston is tucked away in a valley, deep in the spine of Vermont’s Green Mountains, five hours drive time from New York City and three hours from Boston. Weston’s Old Parish Church and Church on the Hill, the village green, the historic museums, stately houses and warm friendly Inns, unique shops and galleries, renowned Weston Playhouse Theater Company and the Weston Benedictine Priory are among the many reasons to discover Weston. Thanks to the vision of its forefathers determined to preserve its special qualities, today the entire village of Weston is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The villages of Londonderry, Landgrove, Peru, Andover, and Chester are nearby. Ludlow and Okemo are 20 minutes north. Winhall and Stratton are 20 minutes south. The two biggest towns around, Manchester and Rutland, are within 30 minutes. Dorset, Woodstock, Arlington, and Grafton are also close by.
